I have been offered the job i applied for, and am going to take it. I start on Feb the 12th Part time and when i leave college they will take me on full time. Ill be earning £4.50 or something like that an hour, which equates to £9,600 a year and then after June 1st i will be on £10,800 a year

I thought that was under minimum wage but checked and as your under 22 minimum wage is £3.40 per hour. Man thats got to be rough at that level getting only £7072 per year for a 40 hour week.
