Hotel recommendation in London

Planing on taking the Mrs to London. Can anyone recommend a good quality hotel at a reasonable price?

it has too be near (central) where all the action is.

Hotel Ibis are normally nice as well as cheap but it will depend on what you want to pay to be honest.

A lot of sites offer discounts as they are filling gaps for hotels, hotels would rather have a room making some money than none at all.

Try Hilton group hotels and Travelodge. Last week, I had visitors staying there 27.50 and 25 quid respectively (yes, they are on a special offer)

Strand Palace opposite Savoy is a cheaper option.

There are TWO Savoys. The real thing and the "Savoy Place", the latter is crap.

I stayed in a Travel Inn just behind the London Eye on the Thames (called County Hall) when I stayed there during Wimbledon. Fantastic location and about Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â£90 a night I think.

Plus there is a nice cool bar opposite who do nice sausage sandwiches for breakfast !
