Curtain shops??? :-)
What you looking for - read made or made to measure?
Debenhams have a curtain department, Alders has one -
checkout C & H fabrics, as well.
Fabric warehouse (if there is one near you)

There's also a place called 'Paul Simon' which has a good selection?
Guess who's been dragged off to look for curtains recently

Re: Greencreeper does Burlesque
Well that's just it - curtain shops. And when I try to think of them, I can't. The department store has died out, pretty much. Will look at some of the names you mention, MLM. I'd prefer ready-made - not rich enough for made-to-measure.

You know, Argos do have some nice brown curtains - they look heavy. Bit of a surprise.

I was thinking of a striptease artiste - the sort that performs behind a thin curtain, with a strong light behind them...
How do curtain linings attach then?

Re: Greencreeper does Burlesque
I think they have curtain tape on the top, so you hang those on the curtain hooks along with the curtains - but they never seem to look as good as the ready lined ones.

How about looking round the charity shops? You might find something there.

LOL - such a funny thread!!
How about getting some tab tops so they just slip over the pole?? Ikea is cheap enough and heavy duty to keep your energy bills low.

I was surprised too. I bought some nice cream curtains there last year, they were good quality for the price.
