Re: Home insurance
I'd suggest using confused.com
Personally, I had a great deal with Direct Line when we were renting and didn't near buildings cover.

Re: Home insurance
Heh, confused.com were rubbish when I was looking to renew my car insurance, the cheapest quote they could find was over £1000, my current insurer did it for just over £200.

Re: Home insurance
I'm with SOSAGES - looked around, and Halifax came up best for house and contents - contents has unlimited total, which can make a difference once you add up what is in your house, and what it would cost to replace.

Re: Home insurance
Norwich Union just replaced my old novatech laptop which went down the stairs with a rather lovely Toshiba A100 for only £100
They aren't expensive either.
