New Puppies long night!
Just saying hello to any one who is still up! as this is the 3rd night i've had to stay up with our new additions (8 chocolate Labradors), it's the first time that we've tried breading with our bitch(Cookie) and it worked very well!
Just didn't realise that there was so much work involved in breading! It's a long long night making sure the pups are all ok and they all get a share in the milk and that Cookie doesn't roll on them or anything else, so i'm just saying hello to anyone else who's still up!

Re: New Puppies long night!
thanks Matthew,
You're right in 7 weeks time all of them should be sold, deduct the vets bills, food, Kennel club registration costs, cost of the stud dog, advertising and time spent and hopefully we should make a profit!

Re: New Puppies long night!
Bang goes 7 chances for a dog in a rehoming centre then. Sorry, but people who breed for any reason, let alone profit really p me off. Especially when there are so many unwanted animals out there needing a good forever home.

If you really think buying a cute puppy to having a child is comparable, I really shouldn't even bother replying to you.....

Re: New Puppies long night!
but you did anyway
What about other cases atrificial insemination sperm donors etc why not adopt instead? im just taking things to extremes. Some people would only want a dog with papers its there choice. I comend those who do take dogs from homes fair play but im not going to judge someone who breeds. If breeding stops then all the pedegree breeds would die your statement said "breed for any reason" your way would see an end to all pure breeds would that be right also?

If people could see the effects that pure breeding has on a dog, it's mental and physical stability, they'd think the Kennel Club were legalised murderers as much as I do. But they don't. All they see if a cute little puppy of a 'good line'. It a bloody accessory, and IMO all a bit sick & desperate.
