I fix the 2 owners pcs as and when they need me and get well sorted all the time  they have helped me on my diet by selling me chicken breast fillets 12 lb for 18 quid all the time

Prejudice aside, it is likely that the 'unclean' reputation of the pig is due to the risk of Trichinosis

although, as Zingle has said, it is not a common problem in the UK, and as the above Wiki article states, 'proper' cooking will eliminate the risk, anyway.

Just to let you know that the pork went down well. Was cooked lovely. Made an hash of the carving, but I always do - 45 degrees instead of 90  I had the left-over slices tonight - chips, gravy, apple sauce, garden peas
