Re: The 'what did you get' thread
New webcam, fantastic book about U2, and their rise to fame. £60 from the family, chocolates, box of random things such as a mechanical booklight and calculator
Basically i got 2 things i wanted, and alot of surprise gifts, oh, and the clothes... I got the things i actually like for a change. I spent the whole day with my mum and sister and my mums fiance.
Easily the best christmas i've had

Long story but I recently changed my name back to my birth name, and my sister had my initials printed on to a leather wallet and that was her present to me

Re: The 'what did you get' thread
Nah it's not personal, just a long winded story which would be out of place in this thread. Have a look at the second-from-bottom entry here

Re: The 'what did you get' thread
Got woken up at 5.30 to be told by hubby I'd got a flat battery and I wondered why he was giving me such a present...He had to taxi it to work and I had to have a go at recharging it..what a swine it was to get out of the car..then I couldn't find the damned recharger for ages... then when I'd done a fast charge and put the dratted thing back(again it was a swine to do) still no luck.
Spent most of the afternoon waiting for the RAC who came late.He fixed it in two seconds..something about it being flooded. Hubby swears he did no such thing. If I'd known that taking the fuel pump fuse out and wiping it and putting it back would have done it.....
Then I had to cook Crimbo dinner and in the middle go pick up hubby from work at 6.30.
Not the most relaxing Christmas day I've ever had.
Not watched Dr Who yet as I had to record it because dinner was so late.
Presents were socks,a book, some home made lemon curd and brownies(daughter is still out of work) and some angel fish earrings from Big Sis.
The day is just getting to be too much like any other.

Re: The 'what did you get' thread
Wow that was a mistake, aside from the presents, I got Drunk, very drunk. Room was spinning, I was nearly sick, I polished off
2 bottles of beer
about 400ml of Whiskey
a bottle or thereabouts of wine
a couple of glasses of Baileys
my own fault I know, but I also got a helluva hangover for Xmas
