Im on a mission, a chocolatey mission
Basicly I have been looking for a gift for my future inlaws for christmas. I have decided since they are all tobleronehollics I am going to buy them one of those 4.5KG super bars. Only problem is I am having trouble finding one for sale and in stock anywhere other than ebay. Buying from ebay isnt really a big problem but they all seem to go for way above thier value. What I want to know is do any of you think you could find an alternative location? Internet or in person if its local (I live near Liverpool on the Wirral).
Just incase any of you dont know what im talking about there is a link to the item here

Re: Im on a mission, a chocolatey mission
there is a woolies contact form here - and a store locator... I haven't seen the bar in our local woolies - have you tried asda or tesco? there's nothing useful on the toblerone website, apart from a suggestion that duty free areas at airports are their best customers - know anyone travelling any time soon?!
How about asking a local newsagent or corner shop to see if they can find it at their wholesalers?

Asda only do the regular ones and Last time I was in tesco they where the same, though tesco is worth checking again.
Knowing all the local newsagents, the premium they would try and charge me for that service would way outprice what I could get it for even off ebay.
I have heard that about the airports, sadly I dont know anyone traveling at the moment

Re: Im on a mission, a chocolatey mission
As someone said before, do you know anyone with a CostCo card, as I have seen the humoungous Toblerones in the Leeds CostCo.
There are CostCo's in Liverpool and St Helens.
30 Waterloo Rd, Liverpool, L3 7HY - 0151 224 7675
Andover Rd, Haydock, St. Helens, WA11 9FA - 01942 868

Sadly I dont know anyone, My aunty used to. She lost it though, I cant remember how. How do you get them again? isnt it registered businesses or something?
Dont suppose some kind person on here with a card would be willing to buy one for me? I'll make it worth your while, just tell me first as I am going to bid on the ones on ebay if all else fails and I'd hate to have someone buy one and then get stuck with it. Mind you, you would make your money back easily if you sold it on ebay from the looks of things.

Re: Im on a mission, a chocolatey mission
I would ask your local shops especially asda as our local one is very kindly and helpful, to try and get you one. I was taught - if you don't ask you don't get. & some corner shop or the other near you is bound to use costco... Good Luck, it does look a treat and a half!

Well I work at ASDA so it might be worth a try, though since our store treats its customers FAR better then its staff I wonder if I might be better sending in a friend or family member to ask for me

Re: Im on a mission, a chocolatey mission
If you live near an airport it may be worth a try as there are quite a number of shops "landside" which stock items such as this for people flying on internal flights who wish to take an unusual gift of non dutiable goods not normally seen in regular high street outlets.

Re: Im on a mission, a chocolatey mission
They're about £35-40 And very heavy. As others have said - Leeds Costco. You need to be a professional to be a member - letters after your name or working for government, healthcare or education.
