What to do here?

Next week I have 25 hours to work and my partner has 37.5. We have a son that well obviously needs looking after.

We have enquired about childcare and found out we can get help through Tax credits. But as my hours are going up on monday I cant change them on the Tax credits computer until they do. We cant get help from Tax Credits until I am working over 16 hours a week.

So come Monday at 11am I have to go to work. My partner will already be at work and I need someone to look after our son.

Do contact centres ask for money up front or after the week or month has finished?

by "contact centres" do you mean creches? best thing to do is ring around and find out how they work, and also if there is a waiting list.
Is there a family member who can look after your son for a week or however long it takes for the tax credit to come into effect?
