Ripped off
I am beginning to think I've been ripped off by a site called Content Paradise. It's the OFFICIAL Poser site where you can buy products for Poser.I bought a tutorial DVD back on the 29th July 2006 and it still hasn't arrived.I did set up a ticket about it but the last time anyone spoke to me was on the 30.9.06.
I'm wondering what to do now?I think I'll give them this weekend and then I'm going to raise a stink in their forums. However I'm wondering what rights I have.

Re: Ripped off
I'd say you've waited more than long enough - and I'd be on to them first thing Monday!

Re: Ripped off
I would get on to them.
If that does not get you anywhere then contact your credit card company for a refund.

Re: Ripped off
Well now..I had heard nothing by this evening so I went to the forums at the site and raised the question as to how long I should have to wait.Later I've got a new invoice dated today which was otherwise identical with the original invoice. In the forum I was given this reply.
Quote:
|
it was shipped then returned due to a documents issue that UPS had not resolved as of last week. We had been calling and dealing with the UK warehouse that lost it the second time. I asked John to email you last week and let you know that we were refunding your purchase and sending a new one free of charge. My apologies, this has been a crazy UPS disaster.

Now what do you make of this? There was no mention of my getting the item for free or a refund in the invoice.

Re: Ripped off
They should have contacted you as soon as they realised there was a problem.
This is happening more and more with web based companies they just don't care about customer satisfaction.
I ordered a webcam from computerwebstore and a week later the order said In Progress. When I chased it up they said it was out of stock, as my order records said (which they did not) so I told them to cancel it.
Next minute they are telling me it has been shipped (make your mind up, you were out of stock earlier!). I told them I had asked to cancel it and I want my card refunding and if I receive it they can arrange to take it back without expecting me to sort it out or pay anything and if they did charge me I would seek legal action.
Surprise, surprise the next email said it had been cancelled and my card had been refunded. They obviously hadn't shipped it they were just hoping I would back down and have it from them anyway.
Anyway, the moral is, if any company is messing you about, suggest legal action they soon sort things out then.

Re: Ripped off
The thing that annoys me is that I have been using their ticketing problem to highlight the problem...However I've only had two replies to my six enquiries both of which told me something entirely different.
It has to be said that anything else that I've bought from them has been downloadable..and I've had no problems.
Another site I use in the US has a much more efficient system and when I ordered a DVD from them it arrived in less than a month.Cost me less in P&P as well.Plus their site doesn't keep changing my personal details.I've had another check at CP and my address had me based in Aberdeenshire instead of Hampshire. When I checked it last week it was correct.
