How much is my car worth?
I need to find out the market value of my car, as it's now probably a right off. Are there any sites that do this just by entering my info?
And this is the reason why! http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/sh...&postcount=313
Thanks for any help.

damn! glad you weren't in it when it happened SnoopZ!
the insurance company will probably write it off, but you could buy it back from them if you wanted to.

Re: How much is my car worth?
I would forget those online price things apart from glass's guide (thats what they use) and go through auto trader and see what they are going for

The AutoTrader website ( http://www.autotrader.co.uk/) has a link called "what's your car worth?" (left hand side, about half way down).

The insurance company will only pay bottom book price on any vehicle claim, if you paid lets say £9,000 for a motor, 2 days later you had an accident which was not your fault and your vehicle was a write off you'd not get the full £9,000 you paid for it they'd only give you the trade price.

Re: How much is my car worth?
Interesting posts re: what insurance companies will pay out on a claim.
I have just received payout for my written off car as pictured below.
2001 51 reg. Xsara Picasso 1.8sx 63000 miles. I received the full insured value of £4500, this is what I paid for the car 2 years ago.
Still have to clain for the broken ribs, neck injury etc. yet.
