Phone Contracts and PUK codes

Hey, Do you know if it is possible to get a PUK code before you contract expires? I want to move provider and I may do it before my old contract runs out.

I think they charge you a 'get out' fee if you try to leave before your contract finishes..

Re: Phone Contracts and PUK codes

So requesting PUK would terminate the contract?

Re: Phone Contracts and PUK codes

Do you mean a PAC? PUK is an unlocking key for when you input your pin wrong isn't it?

IF you want to move then your current contract will need to be paid off before your service provider will let you out. Saying that you can downgrade to the lowest tariff and pay the monthly cost of that package for the number of months you have left.

Re: Phone Contracts and PUK codes

opps sorry! I intend to see out the contract, i was just hoping my number would not be held until then. I guess it will. (I.E I take number, but continue with the old contract under a different number or something).

Warning! Sometimes downgrading your contract will start it going again for another 12 months - check first!

Of course, if your contract allows it Shaun is dead right

Re: Phone Contracts and PUK codes

T-Mobile used to allow to port the number out and keep the old contract under a new number.
