Yup, just seen first christmas decorations up in a flat around the corner from where I live.
Gave me a fright, sent a shiver down my spine it did!

Re: Just seen first Christams decorations
I put some of my fairy lights up today! just to brighten the place up - it's nicer than having the living room main light on. the room is green, so I've got green and blue fairy lights and they are preeeeeeeeeeety and twinkly!

Re: Just seen first Christams decorations
well the green lights do make the room look spooky... if only the kids were into trick or treating round here - I sat outside with a load of sweets once ( dressed as a witch *cough*), and nobody came near!

Re: Just seen first Christams decorations
Just wait until you get the christmas avatars on the forums, the cold winter days, and the sound of dancing santa's & reindeers in every shop you enter.
It will drive you insane, but it's still part of the seasonal magic.......until the easter eggs take over.

Easter eggs, lets do Christmas first
On the other hand Christmas decorations should be banned until Advent starts. It's all commercial hype.

Re: Just seen first Christmas decorations
We haven't even had bonfire night yet. Some people seem to spend 6 months of their lives wishing it away just for a couple of weeks of over indulgence and over spending.
when I consider how many divorces, suicides, murders, stupid accidents, drunken fights, drink driving deaths occur over that season I could scream when I hear people build it up for so long before the event.
For some it is the most misrable time of the year.. and not everyone celebrates it anyway. So yet again can I ask as I ask every year can we keep it to just one thread in one forum on CF.

Re: Just seen first Christmas decorations
Perhaps the thread title should be changed to "Christmas 2006" ?

Re: Just seen first Christmas decorations
My friends wife would have the Xmas decorations up all year around if he'd let her. Like chalk and cheese those two, she loves Xmas and he's Bah! Humbug!. :-)
