A disgruntled Reds prankster has offered the international defender for sale on internet auction site eBay for a paltry fee in protest at the star's refusal to sign a new contract at Old Trafford.

And the highest bid so far - a mere £2.24......

Bidders have asked questions such as: "If I win the bid will you trim the hair please? It's too 70s"

Another asked: "I was looking for someone with a little more loyalty - you don't happen to have Judas Iscariot for auction?"

A third inquired: "Would it be possible for a urine sample to be sent prior to bid analysis?"
