Re: People to sue tour operators for getting skin cancer on holiday?
Now that takes the godswallping ****, what next suing your local kebab shop for giving you the trots?
Or perhaps suing Asda cos the bag broke after YOU loaded it to heavy and something hit your toe.
This is stupid, if your not mature enough to take such choices into your hands as it was you who picked the holiday, you who laid down in basking sun knowing the risks.
What is this world coming to.

How dare they, aren't they ashamed? This is typical of an aspect of society which I have begun to abhor, it's so pathetic.

This is where the very worst aspect of the American Legal system we seem to be copying is taking effect. Whatever happened to personal responsibility. No wonder we are ending up with a "nanny state".

Re: People to sue tour operators for getting skin cancer on holiday?
It's the out-of-control compensation culture we have today. Everything that happens is someone elses fault. Some people are so stupid that they have to be told hot coffee is hot or wet floors are slippery. Hence the ridiculously obvious safety warnings we see all around us.
I remember a few years ago during a thick fog, police switched on motorway signs advising a speed limit of 50mph. There was a pile-up involving several cars. Some of the drivers involved complained that it was the fault of the police because 50mph was far too fast for the conditions. They didn't have the sense of course to reduce their speed accordingly.
The frightening thing is this people have the right to vote!

LOL!
Tis funny!
Anyway, sorry to be a kill joy but this is a study suggesting it could happen. No one is actually suing the travel companies yet. Seems stupid when you read how angry some of these posts are when it has not even happened
Do you ever think you are getting a little bit too angry and worked up on the forums? Getting so angry over a study suggesting that some people may sue travel companies is a tad over-the-top?

That's slightly different, if it was their poor hygiene that caused you to get food poisoning.
However I did see a sign saying "caution wet floor" the other day...
... it was at the swimming pool!!! Well, No s$$t Sherlock!
