Re: school holidays
Upgrade your broadband and tv package and get the takeout place's numbers, and also keep the hot water coming.
Also works well to have a delivery beer service.

Re: school holidays
Go to Australia (i'ts their winter so no long hols for them and they run a four term school year). Failing that, find a desert island somewhere to borrow for 6 weeks.

Re: school holidays
They have been here for a fortnight now.
Given that we have been away on holiday & had an extra week at home we have been able to do things with them but as of next week I think that the Xbox's & PC are going to get seriously flogged!

the kids in my street have all these toys but they get more fun winding up the decent people who live in the street.and if you say anything to them to try and stop them you end up with mr or mrs neanderthal banging on your door trying to take a swing at you.and as for the scarecrows my apologies community support officers there a joke.
as for mr bliar's fight on terrorism.he should make a start in my street its full of terrorists aged from 6yrs upwards there called urban terrorists.

Go fishing. Highly recommended.
Budget fishing Rod & reel & line a the local tackle shop...£9.00
Float, hooks, weights, hook remover, maggots £5.00
Sanwiches, Beer and Pop £??
Annual Rod Licence (up to two rods).....
Junior under 12 = free
Junior 12 to 16 inclusive = £5.00
Adult = £23.50 (1 day, 8 day licenses available).
Prices are for Non-Migratory trout (yummy) & course fish (take a photo and chuck `em back).
Does not include additional permits which may be required on site for privately owned stretches of water or trout fisheries etc (sometimes with additional rules such as, no keep nets and catch limits).
Don't use lead line weights, don't leave tackle & rubbish behind.
If the seaside is your thing then Rod fishing off the beach or a pier is free (and you can keep what you catch).
See.....

what and play dodge the cars, they play football in the street and they don't care where they boot the ball or the damage they do.
there 's a big park with football pitches 200yds away but they still think its more fun to play football in the street.
and as for cricket you daren't start them on that there would be no windows left,it was bad enough when some of them got hold of a golf club and ball, dinted cars smashed windows etc etc.

Re: school holidays
Why not take the opportunity to get out in this good weather and do some sport. I've just come back from a bike ride. Loads of fun.
You could also head on a plane / train and go visit some new place, even if its only a few miles away.... why not discover something new.
And all those things you have wanted to be doing but havent had the time, now is the time for it.
Whatever you do, have fun, chill out, listen to some good music, light up the BBQ, and have fun

I remember as a kid, one of the local chavs nearly mowed my mum down on his bike, so my mum belted him round the back of his head. We were on our way out. Five minutes later, the mother, a la Anne Ramsey, comes hurtling up the street dragging the chav with a big red mark on his cheek. Apparently my mum had smacked him in the face. So chav's mum swung at my mum and hit her in the chest, bruising one of her breasts, before storming off. We got the police but it was just common assault - nothing more than a warning. I'd have opted for a firing squad. Take the humane approach to useless lifeforms.
The other day I had kid asking me for money. They run amok. Holidays are always a nightmare. There's a lot to be said for eugenics
