Advice on Buying '93 Golf CL 1.4
Any Golf owners got any advice on things to look out for on a '93 1.4 CL? Am thinking of getting one from a guy at work, but would appreciate knowing things to look out for.

Waterpump. Check for leaks and also the Heater Matrix inside the car!
Check to see if the footwell carpets are damp.

Check oil cap for white scum an indiction of a bad seal water getting into oil sump.

Not always mate, Short journeys will give the same signs as well.
