Re: Is Cb Radio Dead
I am thinking of getting into the world of cb radio.
Anyone know where I could get a decent unit on the cheap?

Re: Is Cb Radio Dead
CB radios have had their day I think, computers will go the same way in a few years when something new comes out.

Re: Is Cb Radio Dead
And the mobile phone, of course - did they take the UHF band away for that?

Interesting... but no progress - though the withdrawal of UK-only channel allocations would seem to be logical.
Not found any references to CB934 (the UHF band) - with the low usage and higher equipment costs, I belive the only popularity it enjoyed was as a form of "open PMR".
The final thing to note would be the licence-exempt PMR446 band
