Now as I read this article I steadily became more open mouthed at what the participants had to do in the experiment...

However this bit did make me smile.

Men were studied in the same way but because the male orgasm typically takes such a short time it was difficult to obtain meaningful brain scan data.

The interviewer then said: Why do you need to put people in a scanner for that? I could have told you that...

All the scientist could say was: yes, but we have proved it scientifically now...

Incidentally, the researchers were able to distinguish between women who had a proper orgasm, and those who faked it...

the sock thing made me laugh.....

and the alcohol thing... i guess it makes sense because alcohol makes you lose your inhabitions.

The discovery was made during experiments in the Netherlands when couples' brains were scanned during lovemaking.

now this is the bit i don't understand..... if the tests were done through love making.... how could they keep their heads still in a scanner??????

i would understand it it maybe it wasn't through lovemaking that they reached orgasm but this suggests that it was.... unless i'm mis-reading it
