Child health bods have harnessed computer graphics to demonstrate to a couple of kids what they may look like if they maintain their current iffy diet. Could be a great educational wheeze if they set demonstrations up at schools - just before dinner.

That programme aired on BBC3 about a month ago ... it was heartbreaking to see, every time the parents started flagging in their resolve to improve their kids' lifestyle the experts would get those photos out and make them look long and hard at them until they changed their minds. It was a very effective piece of emotional blackmail!
