Coniston Challenge to raise money for Guide Dogs for the Blind...

Sorry, another charity thread, this time from me...

Two of my workmates are part of a team doing the "Coniston Challenge" in September, to raise money for Guide Dogs for the Blind.

They have ten hours to:
  • Walk 10.7km up & down the Old Man of Coniston
  • ...Then cycle 22km through Grizedale forest
  • ...And then canoe down the great Coniston lake

The target they need to raise is £2500. They've currently raised only about 20% of that.

They have a page at http://www.justgiving.com/oldmen where sponsors can donate online. Online donations also enable the tax to be reclaimed as Gift Aid.

I know we've had a few charity threads recently, but any help they receive would be appreciated

Crikey, I've been up the "old man" (of Coniston) before but that's a pretty stiff challenge.

Good luck to them.

Me to it was many years ago, it was still a hard walk though.
