When filling out a direct debit, it asks for the banks address. Which do you put? The headquarters? the UK headquarters or the local bank you opened the account with?
I always put the one on the cheque book - I was told to do that years ago but I'm not sure why now! I have about 3 different addresses I could put for my bank - but using that one, it's never been queried.

The local bank your opened your account with - this is a check to make sure your sortcode is correct.
