How much do you drink?

Any chance of some honest and realistic answers to this issue which I have been thinking about all week long.I know the official 'limits' but does anyone abide by them?

Its very varied.

Towards the beginning of the month I tend to stock up on my monthly allowance of units

Overall with possibly 2 or 3 exceptions a month I stick within the guidelines.

I rarely drink, so about 1 unit per 6th months


PS the missus used to drink 20 units a week, but I've got her off the hard stuff now (about 2 a week)

You mean limits for drink driving I assume
If not, then AFAIK there is no limit, only suggested quantities, as for me, I drink just about every night and it can vary from 2 tins to way more than I should the other night it was a couple of tins and 3/4 of a bottle of whisky

Not big and not clever, it was a long nights session and yes, I did suffer

I never get hangovers, even after the NTL staff night out where I downed something like 14 large glasses of red wine, some tequilla shots, couple of archers, and some pimms

I don't really drink much as I'm the only driver in the house - and so I suppose I've got out of the habit. And as a few forum members will testify, it only takes me a couple of Bacardi Breezers and I'm off my head anyway! 5 is about my limit - but as I only do that about twice a year, I think I'm safe! Apart from that the occasional glass of wine - not even one a month - and that's me!

if I'm driving, it's a drink and then that's it... when I'm not, then the sky's the limit.

It really depends on what kind of a mood I'm in, I can quite happily polish of 10 to 15 odd units a night sometimes, othertimes all I want is one can...

But the short answer is probably 'too much'

Being in college I am quite partial to the booze, but haven't been out for three weeks now because last time I drank so much I had to crawl upstairs and it took me ages . Was sick all over my bedroom aswell, and felt ill for a week. Never again well, at least not until after the exams . My friends are much worse lol, some of them go out 4 nights every week and come home almost in a coma, it really cannot be good for them.

I used to drink a serious amount as a student. It was a wonder I didn't get cirrocis of the liver. I went out drinking 5 nights a week, usually drinking between 4 and 12 pints. Sometimes i'd have one or two with lunch.

I don't really drink now. When I cook myself a curry I normally have a can or two, so thats about 2 cans every week and a bit.

The last time I was legless my daughter was conceived so that kinda taught me a lesson
