Men
It makes me feel uncomfortable, and a little disgusted, when you discuss women as objects for pleasure. Today, at work, I've had to suffer lurid tales of messy anal sex and general promiscuity; how difficult it is to maintain several "birds"; techniques for dumping and duping "birds"; and drunken incidents resulting in the discovery, the following morning, that she "looks like a horse". There's also the passing round of men's magazines - the ones that border on porn mags and don't have too many words over 5 letters long. No one mentions trips to the GUM clinic though.
How do you women put up with it?

Re: Men
What were you doing listening in on other people's conversations? :P
Seriously though, did you try saying "lads please, some of us are trying to work here?"

Well I'm a man so they assume I'm straight. Sometimes I wish gay men were a different colour - say, deep pink "What do you think to the tits on that". Er, yes - lovely

They vary in age from 18 to 30+, so not really lads - that's part of the annoyance. I mean - 21+ and you're a grown up.

Possibly, yes, but I think it's a response to the way men have behaved towards them for many years.

Agree, though I think some of it is true - which I find worrying really. If you're that sexually active, you should be visiting the GUM clinic once a month. Some of them haven't ever visited. Deeply worrying.

You think it's only men who are like this? Try a job in the media, preferably radio. You will be shocked!

Personally I am a guy and they do my head in, and I have a gf. I do feel though that if the like magazines that much and comment such, that I won't hand wrestle one of them as there right hand is likely very powerful.

They do. I have worked in a mostly female office (the boss and I were the only males in a staff of 10). The stuff some of the women came out with makes the stuff my male friends come out with pale in comparison.

Same here, actually.

No - I know women can be "ladish" too, but like I said, I think the behaviour has developed in response to how men treat them.

Well, if you do hand wrestle, make sure you're wearing a glove

Re: Men
ive been pretty shocked by a few conversations by men in the past about women, even the nicest and most religious of men have dropped some clangers, it makes me wonder how these people get women in the first place, it must be the apparent charm and 'bad boy' image i guess...
i had a simaler incident just a couple of days ago with someone, he suggested in a sexual manner that i make the 'sexually overtoned' approach to instigating a sexual episode.....the way in which he said it was quite shocking......what was equally as shocking was that his advice was based with a complete racial bias, if it was someone of ethnic origin then i would not have got that advice.
there is me thinking wtf about the whole conversation..... some people make me sick, most men do!
yes im a man but seriously the things i have heard and seen it makes my blood boil, multiple patners, multiple phone handsets/sim cards......
maybe if i turn nasty ill get a women

Re: Men
you could always fight fire with fire... the draughtsmen where i used to work had *cough* 'calenders' up all over the place.
One of the more confrontational women decided that pictures of the french rugby team wearing nothing but strategically placed rugby balls would help to compensate... it certainly shut them up for a while!
i can understand it may not be what you want to do, or indeed work in this situation, but it might be worth a try
