A close shave!
For my sins, I spend some of my time looking after a small network of computers in an office nearby. Recently, I had an emergency callout to replace an ethernet cable that a puppy had chewed through. Actually, it's at least 9 months old now and should know better. Anyway, after I'd replaced the cable I had a quick shufty round to see what else it had chewed - plenty of corners off cardboard boxes and this. Now that was a close shave

Re: A close shave!
Was it plugged in at the time!!! ...but this is very common with dogs, and they don't have to be puppies! My labador ate his way through my fan's plug..last summer...so he would have been about 6 months. I've yet to replace the plug on it!....probably will when, and after, it the weather gets really hot!...

I've had to close the back of my desk off to him, he likes to sit underneath my desk whilst I'm on the PCs to sleep and hump!....he kept on getting caught in the cables too!

With the looks of it, the dog came within a whisker of being fried The neutral is chewed down to the wire! Bit more to the left and bye, bye dog.
