Bonsai trees

Hey, does anyone here keep bonsai trees?

I've just got one and would like to know how best to care for them, most of the help sites are american, and their climate etc is different fro ours so I'd prefer a closer-to-home view.

EDIT : Just took some pics, does anyone know what species of tree this is?
leaves are very waxy, suggests it might be able to tolerate a low humidity environment?
