Smarties... Did you know?
Did you know that the orange smarties are made out of orange chocolate?
Only found that out today!

Re: Smarties... Did you know?
They may be now, but they certainly didn't used to be.

Re: Smarties... Did you know?
"Nearly 17,000 Smarties are eaten every minute in the UK.
Nestlé Rowntree has produced 5,000 million Smarties caps over the last 25 years.
When production of Smarties resumed after the Second World War, Smarties were made with plain chocolate because of the shortage of milk.
If the Smarties eaten in one year were laid end to end it would equal almost 102,000 km and if they were put in tubes and these put end to end it would equal almost 29,000 km"

I used to love smarties when they were Rountrees. Since Nestle got hold of them (quite a few years ago now) they have gone downhill.

Re: Smarties... Did you know?
I think I've said this in a similar thread about Smarties, forget Smarties. I will have a bag of cadbury's mini eggs instead!

Used to know someone who worked at Rowntrees, who could get the "misshapes and seconds".
I used to get, what looked like small sugar bags, full of smarties. Nothing wrong with them.
Kit Kats, Lion bars and after-eight mints as well.
