I posed as Mr Blobby at a local Cancer Care home one year, I do believe they are in the process of sending me another letter to do something as silly. I don't know if I'll do it tho. We'll see.

I don't mind doing stuff for charity, and am surprised how many people turn out and donate each time something like this comes up. But I think I'll just make a donation and be happy this year.

p.s. if they DO pursuade me - photo's may be forthcoming.

Or maybe some of us believe charity is a private afair, best keep between the giver and the receiver?

Any time I put money in a charity box I refuse the sticker/ badge they hand out. If I give money freely as a gift, I have no need to show the world what a nice person I am. I know and the person collecting knows, and thats good enough for me.

...tho I remember raising £220 for the National Blind Association... only did it cause the girls in work were...in the end none of them did!...just me and a mate...and they promised me a helicopter ride for it...never did get it the *******s!

There are too many "days", TV appeals etc.

I'll choose what and when I donate to (other than regularly donating blood), and probably be looking for something else to watch on RND.
