Bungee jumping
Anyone done it? What do you think?
Me and some friends have decided it'd be a good idea to try it soon, but I don't know how to go about it.
Is there an age limit, is it safe, is it enjoyable? Anybody know any places to do it near Manchester?

You sound as if you need convincing.Personally I think anyone who does this needs their head examining.

Re: Bungee jumping
I did it in New Zealand off the bridge that it all started at (piccies attached)
I have to say that I was slightly underwhelmed by the whole thing. My experience is that no sooner have you started than the cord is tightening and you are coming back up. This one wasn't too high though (about 120ft), there is one operated by the same company which you may have seen on the recent Billy Connolly program from a cable car, which is much higher.
I think part of the problem was that same day we bungee'd we also Luge'd and Parascended off the hill above Queenstown, both of which were more of an adrenaline rush and more memorable.
None of it beats White Water rafting though, but that is another discussion!

Re: Bungee jumping
Been there, done that.
Seriously though, its the dogs dangly bits and I'd recomend it to anyone. If you are giving it serious thought, keep and eye on the papers as lots of charaties will hold events for people who have raised a set minimum sponcership. Thats how I came to do my first bungee jump. So not only did I have bloody good fun, but I also raised money for charity.
My advice though......
If you want the ultimate adrenalin rush, go Skydiving.

I am vaguely aquainted with a guy who, not only survived a skydiving accident, but also has tried a gliding suit, I would love a go at that, he said it really does feel like you can fly

Re: Bungee jumping
Never done it, but it's one of those things I'd love to try.
I'd also really like to do a parachute jump.

You really should give it a try, and as with charity bungee jumping, you can tandem skydive for charity. While I've not had the chance to try a gliding suit, I have managed ''free-flying'', and very kool it is too.
Personally I had hoped to start BASEjumping, but I have a feeling my days of grabbing airtime are over.
One other thing I found while I did a lot of 'diving, women get '' very '' excited after their first 'dive.
