Life expectancy

Just did this on BBC!

http://www.bbc.co.uk/health/interact...ving_100.shtml

Mine is 93 years!!!! 93 - 18 = Long time left for me!!

Yep, I will be around here for a lot longer than some of you may hope

Of course, it doesnt take into account my stupidness and lack of respect for personal safety so............

Anyway whats your results? Are you all like Little ol' me?

Re: Life expectancy

Yeah iits rubbish

I did the worst possible results and still got 60 years. I data I put in would have been quite possibly the fattest man in existance who eats crap, smokes and drinks and the only exercise he gets is when he is having unprotected sex everyday.

How the hell can he live to 60?

Re: Life expectancy

85.4 - I'm depressed. I was hoping to die aged 60 in the arms of a couple of 18 year olds.

Re: Life expectancy

Your life expectancy is 83 years

that's quite encouraging seeing as i smoke 20 a day, drink more than i'm supposed to, eat crap and hardly ever exercise!

Re: Life expectancy

84.6 after answering Yes to Q2. Now what does.

Do you eat more than a couple of hot dogs, sausages, or slices of bacon a week?
have to do with Nitrates? Looked more to me to be a question about fatty meats. 85.2 if I cut out the salami (quiet there at the back ). I think I am happy with losing 6 months off my life for some quality cured meats.
Quote:
Some studies suggest that 90% of all human cancers are environmentally induced, 30-40% of these by diet. Preserved and cured meats (bacon, sausage, salami, etc.) are an important source of nitrites in our diet. Nitrites lead to the formation in our bodies of nitrosoamines, which are important environmental oxidants and carcinogens. For instance, there is a significant association between nitrosamines and stomach cancer.
