Dark chocolate or milk chocolate?

Due to a lack of supply in a shop, I recently had to try dark chocolate instead of the usual milk chocolate which I have. At first taste I wondered how the hell anyone had managed to get away with putting manure into a wrapper but soon after the tasted dawned on me and now it's Bournville all the way!

Dark chocolate is also much better for you because of the antioxidants Can't be bad. http://my.webmd.com/content/Article/73/81921.htm

Which do you prefer?

Re: Dark chocolate or milk chocolate?

dark chocy is supposed to have something in it that's good for your heart (in moderation) - I read recently.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/3185363.stm

http://www.chocolate.org/health/darkchocolate.html

"...Dark chocolate contains plant substances called polyphenols - ingredients scientists think are responsible for the heart-healthy attributes of red wine. Polyphenols also have been shown to lower blood pressure in animals..."

Re: Dark chocolate or milk chocolate?

Depends on my mood if just chocolate and what's inside it if filled.

Re: Dark chocolate or milk chocolate?

mmm Milk, or Dark, Milk or Dark, Milk or Dark, Milk or Dark mmm Who cares as long as its not white!!

Good quaility chocolate is important and the fresher the better. ONe had some Terrys All Gold that was off so sent it back and the box they replaced it was so fresh it was completely different to the chocolate off the shelf in a shop.

If you like dark chocolate try the Starbuck far trade Dark Chocolate. Its expensive but mmmmmmmmmmmm its worth it.

Re: Dark chocolate or milk chocolate?

Now while this is incredibly expensive........ it's INCREDIBLY good
It's a praline ganache type centre with pistachios covered in a layer of plain chocolate.........

I offered some to a work colleague who doesn't like chocolate but she tried it just to shut me up and now she's told me that she's ordering some for xmas

Oh and it's a handy 15 inches long
What more could a girl ask for
