Gilette M3 Power
Anyone tried it yet? I know it's VERY expensive but was thinking of having a go if enough people tell me their experiences of it.

Re: Gilette M3 Power
It is very expensive. I have one, and it seems alright to me. The buzzing takes a bit of getting used to. I can't say it is a vast improvement on the the old mach 3 though.

Re: Gilette M3 Power
How's it different to a normal Mach 3?
EDIT: Just Googled it. Battery powered buzzing action...Strange. Useful, or a gimmick?

Re: Gilette M3 Power
I use one of the old mach 3s and that works fine for me
If you want a closer shave, i found using shaving oil rather than gel/foam works better.

Re: Gilette M3 Power
Have yet to find anything better than the Mach3 with shaving oil, even tried the Wilkinson Sword quattro, nice razor but not really worth the extra money.

Nothing new under the sun. The Ancient Greeks used a bronze razor and oil for shaving.

i find that the quattro sort of catches on me, unlike the mach3. i think it is the vertical wires they have in front of the 4 blades....

Well have used it for a while and to be honest it is a lot better than the normal supermarket own brand equivalent but is not much better than the old mach 3.
I have been told however it is not very friendly when used on the scalp although i am guessing Russ you wont have that problem

I use it (when I can be bothered to shave!)
Currently I'm using Boots own brand, although I've been told by someone that baby oil is just as effective and a damn sight cheaper (a large bottle of baby oil apparently costs less than a tiny bottle of shaving oil!)

Re: Gilette M3 Power
I find the quatro to gum up with hair really quickly and because of it's design, you can't flush it through under the tap like you can with the mach3. oh well, at least it was free with FHM so I'm not bothered about throwing it out

Re: Gilette M3 Power
I use the Wilkinson Sword 3D Protector and it tends to clog a bit as well, but there's not much you can do about it.
