Re: Crap Cars
That is ridiculous, the Bug is amazing. They were so strong and durable. The old ones used to go on forever. Quite a few of them are still around.

Re: Crap Cars
Didn't the Bond Bug have the same alloy engine as the Hillman Imp, and a ridiculous top speed for a three wheeler.

No, that was the Bond 875 with the complete Imp subframe mounted in the back. that engine was based on the coventry climax engine, they used the detuned Imp commercial version because of the reediculous speed, I think someone like Stirling Moss did 100MPH on some racetrack with a bond 875 before it was launched.
The bug had the all aluminium 700cc engine from reliant, later enlarged to 750cc. It was pretty quick for its day, and most people now put 850cc reliant robin engines in them.
I have one in lots of pieces and one close to finished, lack of time is the big killer for me, and having about 23 cars last time I counted doesn't make it easier.

Re: Crap Cars
I can agree with cars 2 thru 5 but the beetle has to be one of the best cars around...

Re: Crap Cars
Or for the oldies amongst us, the Vauxhall Victor. This car could rust faster than a Lancia, and that takes some doing .
