Would you buy one ??
Electronics firm Amstrad has launched a cut-price videophone that lets people see who they are talking to.
Called E3 the home videophones are going on sale for £99 each. A pair of videophones will cost £179. Story here
Well no chance of me buying one especially with the birds nest hair and face like fizz I've got at the mo
Any brave folk out there ???

God no, I can't think of anythink more awful... how can you call in sick, and have to face your boss knowing full well you are lying through your back teeth, using a sound effects board a-la Ferris Buller to make some disgusting noises...

They're ages old, very useful for making calls to a deaf person. Im sure Amstrad had those on the market about 2 years ago

Re: Would you buy one ??
So THAT'S the new em@iler
No I won't be getting one - I got one of the old ones - useless...
As for video calling - I have a three phone and only know one other person with one (My missus). Yes I use it to call her and see her/my son on a morning so I think I'll stick with that.

Not at that price, I wouldn't. You get video conferencing on mobiles though, although I don't know how popular it is. I probably wouldn't use it anyway, because they'd see me when I mime swear words down the phone at them.
