Any Shooters on the Board?
I have been shooting air rifles & pistols for a couple of years now, and I have recently joined my local Rifle club, I already have a Fire arms certificate for 2 of my pistols.
I am thinking of getting an addition to my FAC for .22 rimfire rifles, and was wondering if anyone here has any reccomendations for an inexpensive first rifle.
The club has a couple of ruger 10/22 rifles which are nice, and the upgradeable parts are quite cheap via ebay, but they start off around the £200 mark, new or second hand.
So any reccomendations?
Thanks

Re: Any Shooters on the Board?
I have a bsa spitfire and I use it heavily - http://www.10goldstars.com/bsa-spitf...iew-25207.html - . I had the hw95k for a while. Its a little front heavy !
Have a look at some of the later BSA Or Webley rifles. They are very nice !

Re: Any Shooters on the Board?
Paul M, pistols & revolvers that shoot bullets are illegal, but Air pistols and pistols that use black powder, are not, though 2 of the pistols that I have are now illegal to sell, but I got a Firearms Certificate so that I could keep the 2 that I have.
I have joined the rifle club to have access to safe, Police & M O D monitored target ranges.
Homer, your best bet would be to buy a copy of air gunner, and see if there are any local gunshops near where you live, or google search for gunshops in your area, as the staff would be best able to advise you on what is available, what would suit your needs best, the legal implications, and any local clubs that you could join.
http://website.lineone.net/~triggerfish/gunlaw.htm
essential reading for anyone thinking of getting an air weapon
and finally, weapons are not the problem it is the idiotic few who misuse them that are the problem, the Police went through extremely indepth checks before I was granted my Certificate.
Thanks.
