Stamps or no stamps?
This is a stupid question, for that im sorry.
Any ideas if a envelope with "Response Service Licence No ..." requires a stamp or not? This is for my university enrolment forms.

Re: Stamps or no stamps?
no scanner im afriad...
In the top left theres a:
"Response Service Licence No NEA11424"
In the top right theres a big 1, and 2 black bars, with a gap big enough to fit a stamp.
Thens there s a bunch of morse codie lines and beneath it is my uni address.
Can't remember what i did last year for it...

Re: Stamps or no stamps?

Re: Stamps or no stamps?
yup... then again you should have spotted from the outset that anything with "response service licence number" on the envelopope is a prepaid thingy and can just be shoved in the letterbox
[edit] i am 100% sure because my bank statement regulary comes with one with a big "2" on it, cos the bank are cheap and can't afford 1st class...
companies use it so they don't have to employ some poor dear to frank envelopes all day or stick stamps on...
anyway, the worst thing that can happen is that you get the mail returned to you, or the uni have to pay 29p...

I aint a fan of letters... email i prefer. Neater, quicker, and tidier. Most of my mail to friends for large packages involves large quantities of stamps. Thats how little i know of the mail system.
So no stamps it is then. Cheers Dave, and Paul

take it to the post office if you aren't sure
all the mail i post from the post office now gets a pre-paid thingy stuck on it, instead of reams and reams of stamps... the post office has been updated so a big white sticker with "1", "2", "RD", "SD" or the correct amount of postage on it is printed....amazing
simple things...

walk? don't be stupid... beat up the disabled neighbour and nick his electric wheelchair, or persuade him to collect his pension and skateboard along behind him...
or more politically correct, get a taxi
or pretend you are rich and get royal mail to collect from your house (yes, you can do this for a price )
