Garden Vac v Gravel

Hi all

Fancy buying one of these from argos to pick up leaves etc problem is most of my garden is gravel and I wondered hope this would cope...............will it pick up the gravel and knacker the vac ????

I'm just a bit concerned about the 'vacume shred' mode.....can you turn off the 'shred' aspect?

the Black & Decker one has both sucky-sucky and blowy-blowy capabilities, iirc (that's the technical term for it, btw)
