additional handset for NTL phone

hi,

does anyone know where I can get additional handsets for my digital NTL D5101 cordless twin-pack phone??

I phoned NTL and they said they dont sell them.

I dont know how to tell if this phone is a GAP phone but i do know that the base unit is capable of registering up to 4 handsets.

thanks in advance for help.

Re: additional handset for NTL phone

I'd be pretty confident it is GAP compatible, most are and it is a rebadge job.

Re: additional handset for NTL phone

thanks SMHarman.

Assuming it is GAP compatible, does this mean I can buy any other GAP compatible handset (regardless of brand) and make it work?

I dont know much about GAP.

Re: additional handset for NTL phone

The NTL D5101 is a GAP compatible DECT phone so you can take your pick from many phones to add to your system which should be able to handle more than 4 handsets.

Yes you can use any brand DECT GAP phone from any manufacturer.

Re: additional handset for NTL phone

I saw on another forum, SAFEWAY were supposed to be doing a single Binatone E3300 (with base as well?) for £10.98.

With some (maybe all) DECT systems, you can use two bases in different locations, register the handsets to both, and they will lock on to whichever is strongest - I don't believe you can roam a call between them, but if the handset goes out of range of one, it can re-lock to the other if that's better.

Re: Additional handset for NTL phone

Is the NTL vs1502 (3handsets) Gap? I know they have vs1501 (2handsets) and vs1503 (4handsets).
