Actually, this project could qualify for an ig-nobel nomination. The Ig-nobel awards are given out every year to the most pointless research project undertaken. http://www.improbable.com/ig/ig-pastwinners.html
Past winners include Jack Harvey, John Culvenor, Warren Payne, Steve Cowley, Michael Lawrance, David Stuart, and Robyn Williams of Australia for their report entitled "An Analysis of the Forces Required to Drag Sheep over Various Surfaces.", and C.W.Moeliker for documenting the first case of homosexual necrophilia in a Mallard duck (IE the first duck that likes sex with dead ducks of the same gender). The report is entitled "The First Case of Homosexual Necrophilia in the Mallard Anas platyrhynchos (Aves: Anatidae)"
