Re: Holidays
That looks nice, Ramrod
It's our 25th wedding anniversary this year, so we have (literally) 'pushed the boat out' and have booked on a 10 day cruise along the Canadian & Alaskan coast, in August.

- I can't remember which ship we are going on, though - plus I forgot the 10 days includes the transfers, via Seattle, so it is really only 7 days on the ship. - really looking forward to it

Re: Holidays
Cancun next spring as most will know about. I'm going out to Florida in November to see the family for christmas. Not strictly speaking a holiday because I bring most of my work over with me. I might go this summer as well, but it is doubtful at the moment.
Homealone: Nice!

Agreed, that sounds great.
If i can get enough cash together this year im going to book a holiday to Canada and the rockies to do one of those adventure holidays where they take you throught the mountains in canoes and stuff and you camp out for 2 weeks.

ohhhhh NICEEEEEEEE i love that part of France. If you like full bodied fruit laden red wine try some Cahors. Its not cheap but its a great taste experience.
6 weeks today and i'll be flying to the deep south.

Re: Holidays
Forgot, if you like caves and you want an experience. Go to "Gouffre de Proumeyssac", its about 3 miles from Le Bugue. If you go, enter the cave via the basket rather than walking. They put 5 of you in a basket with a guide and then your lowered into the cave via the hole in the roof in total darkness. Then half way down theres a light show in the cave. It AMAZING

Re: Holidays
My brother is off to the Maldives for two weeks with his missus. Only cost them £600 each, not bad. (I'm jealous )

Re: Holidays
Might be going away later in the year but for now we're making do with spending 10 days together.
We've been to the motor show at the NEC
and have spent some time in London
During which time we went on the London Eye even though a certain person hates heights (but she did well and enjoyed it enough to suggest doing it again one evening later in the year), as well as going to Thorpe Park during the week. (No pics due to water and cameras not liking each other ) Though new shorts were very nearly needed after the first ride of the day
To all those going on holiday this year for what ever reason, enjoy yourselves as well as the company you are in, thats the whole point of going away

Off to Millport, on a small island in the Firth of Clyde called Great Cumbrae, where mrs towny's parents have a holiday flat, at the end of July for two weeks. Free holiday, wuppee!
