A Sad Reminder for us All

A colleague has recently lost his wife in sudden and unexpected circumstances, the whole of our team have been touched by this, the following message from him to us is sobering, poignant and one we should all remember. I have been so moved by what happened and his message that I just needed to tell someone, to help me personally cope with what happened. I don't need replies or sympathy, just remember what he says............

"Dear All,

I'm taking the cowards way out by not facing you all to say "Thanks very much Team", for the beautiful ....... flowers, card and thoughts you all contributed to for .........
Particular thanks to ........as your representatives for their attendance and support.

It might not shut me up about talking about her life and achievements, or the influences on me or others, (some chance ! ) but it sure changes your whole outlook on life.
All the things you planned together - gone, worthless.

Emotions are such a difficult thing to express, and my memories are still to real and raw for me to deal with or control yet, so I'd appreciate you all not mentioning it to me, as I know I'm not strong enough to cope yet, so business as usual.
I do appreciate your concern and thoughts though.
................................
I sincerely hope you never experience the same hopeless sense of loss as I feel now, so just make sure you appreciate what you've got, daily, and tell whoever regularly."
