Question Accomodation in Manchester

Hi all,

Next Saturday (5th June), I am taking my son to see England plat Iceland at Manchester City's ground. It's a surprise for him, & he is a massive David Beckham/Michael Owen fan.

I am now thinking it would be better to stay there on Saturday evening, & come back at our leisure on Sunday.

Can someone recommend somewhere close by that we can stay?

Somewhere like a Travel Lodge would be fine, or if anybody knows some decent B&Bs-that would be cool too.

It ideally needs to be situated near to the footy ground, so that we can drive up in the morning, check in, leave the car there, & walk to the match.

Ta v much.

N.

Neil, this one

Express by Holiday Inn Manchester East
Debdale Park, Hyde Road, Gorton, Manchester, Lancashire, M18 7LJ

is literally round the corner from the stadium, theres also a travelodge place at Belle Vue just a bit further up as well

Re: Accomodation in Manchester

Express holiday inn will be a long walk to the ground.... it would also be two busses better off in Manchester center than debdale.
Will check around as I live within walking distance of the ground and one bus from the ground.

Edited to add in everyone agrees the nearest hotels are in Manchester. around the football ground its all pubs but none rent out rooms. B&B are not in the area its in a residential area near Beswick.
Taken a screenshot to show where the stadium is the corner between Manchester new road and Alan turning way.
