Question County boundaries

As a follow on from this...

The comments about county boundaries. Do people think that we should go back to the boundaries of, say 50 years ago?

I live in Salford, which like Oldham was part of Lancashire, but now part of Greater Manchester. I have never known it as being part of Lancashire, but strangely, if someone knocks Lancashire, I will defend it.

I'm not just talking about Lancashire though, Yorkshire, Merseyside and the other Metropolitan Counties as well.

Do you want to bring it back or are you not bothered?

Keep your scumbag hands off gods own county.
The Ridings were OK, but I think most of us superiors are happy with North, East, West and South Yorkshire.

One day we will have independence!

It's not like I was suggesting that Lancashire should annex your "county". We should trying to raise ourselves, not go lower

EDIT: Please note the smilies before anyone complains!

Oh right ganging up are we??

Right thats it.
Hollyoaks is banned from my TV's.
MUTV will be off first thing Tuesday, when I return to work. Unless I'm called in between now and then.

Oh actually, if I turn off MUTV then I punish Man U fans, who as we all know don't come from Manchester!!! Scum all the same.
