new words

Recently, on Radio 4, the programme Word of Mouth ran a competition to invent some new words for the english language. Here are some of my favourites:

horseproofs - the footprints left by horses (kids entry)

festillities - a gathering of relatives that don't all get on very well

sprognosis - the process of determining the sex of a foetus (the winner)

Any more suggestions?

www.unwords.com is a site devoted to this. Some good ones there, like

pupkus: the moist residues left on a window pane after a dog presses its nose against it

telecrastination:the act of letting the phone ring at least twice even if you're sitting right next to it

mousturbate To constantly move the mouse in circular motion while clicking and browsing, thereby demonstrating your impatience with the computer. As in: "Bob, stop mousturbating." Also: mousturbating, mousturbation, mousturbator

And there's a word that means precisely that, a new word. What is it?

Re: new words

My favourite word which doesn't officially exist is 'twunt' - a socially acceptable combination of two extremely obscene expletives....

you can have my Spong if you want. I have a Spong, it is a black, cast iron, hand cranked kitchen grinder. You use it for grinding nuts/ coffee beans etc.
Manufactured by Spong, not sure if they are still in business though.

A neologism...

edit: from neo -new, and logos the Greek word for word.

Here you are, I had to dig it out of the loft and as you can see it has never been used.
Any offers for my Spong.
