What gives you a buzz ?
As the title says, what gives you a buzz ?
By the word buzz, I mean, what makes you feel all happy and generally puts you in a good mood ?
(Sex and drugs can not be mentioned. I'm talking maybe a sport you do, a hobby, generally something you enjoy doing).
For me its probably a combination of things.
Tonight I have just started work on a new piece of music and am really pleased with the first results. You can spend hours working on something and then scrapping it so basically working on music and coming up with something that seems to flow has put me in a good mood.
Also, whenever I am dancing in a club, I just am in another world. Its just nice.
Also meeting new people. Its like great as you are opening your horizons and it puts me in a good mood and I am happy.
So, what does it for you ?

Surfing, there really is nothing (not even sex) like in the world. Everything about just makes everything else seem ok.

Re: What gives you a buzz ?
getting my boyancy just right when scuba diving, it may not sound like much but it makes you feel totally weightless like you're flying.
(that and the non-illegal subject which we aren't supposed to mention)

Re: What gives you a buzz ?
Helping people.
I have a number of internet sites devoted to helping people with different things, the more popular each site gets, the happyer I get
I also get a buzz playing Battlefield1942 on-line with a group of good friends from around the world. We all chat together on TeamSpeak (live voice software) and play in the same game, on the same team even though we are thousands of miles apart!
I also get a buzz making short videos, I did some 'music to explosion' videos as well as a video of some of my on-line gameing mates playing Paintball! (set to music)
HERE is a link to my paintball vid, it's just under 30Meg, so I don;t recomend dial-up users trying it!
Right click and select "Save-As" or IE will try to stream it.

Re: What gives you a buzz ?
sad I know, but....
Writing a nice bit of code, gives me a buzz...
So does finishing off a bit of DIY...
I really need to get out more...

Re: What gives you a buzz ?
Finally getting the right weight (after 4 days) on my decks' tonearms so they don't skip while I'm scratching/mixing, I was just about ready to throw them out of the window.

Re: What gives you a buzz ?
Being proved right, as I frequently am , when all around me doubt me. Helping someone. The moment when that tricky bit of coding finally works - yes I know I'm a sad geek

With you on the code. Cracking a difficult problem, especially when done elegantly gives a real buzz. Code optimisation (speed wise) is fun as well :sad git:
Anything that takes a lot of effort and works out gives me a buzz really.
But winning my squash league without dropping a single game was fun as well
