Well of course, doesn't everyone know that it contains more than the US recommended daily intake of Girders?!

She said a red colourant, acceptable in Europe, was banned in the US, while a yellow one was subject to tests.
|
I'm sure we'd do the same if a US product contained additives that were banned here.

Ahhh yes m8... but isn't kfc a "secret" recipe.
And what about the "secret" recipe for coca cola?

I'm reading a book called "Fast Food Nation" at the moment, which is a really scary analysis (wuite objetively written as well) about all this sort of thing.
Apparently the key to most fast food is not so much in the taste.. we have very limited taste receptors in our mouths.. but the key comes from the smell of the food, as our noses are very sensitive to lots of different chemicals, and give a great deal of input to the taste centres. All kind of tastes and smells are manufactured in these huge labs in the USA... all the way from the taste of mcdonald's hamburgers to the smell of Calvin Klein perfume or even the shaving foam you use every morning
Happy eating!
