Thumbs down Mobile Phone Woes

the filth pulled me over for being on the blower
when driving today

went up the station with documents etc
told the non-helpful frumpy woman
at the desk I would pay the cash then and there ie - £30 in cash

she told me she could not accept it
told me I had to send it as specified on the back of the ticket
which I have now lost
so that's that

thing is the copper wrote a completely wrong name, for some strange reason, on the ticket he gave me
so if they come looking - the bloke does not exist

still - I offered to pay, but there you are

I suppose it all keeps the wheels of beurocracy turning

Re: Mobile Phone Woes

*grin* I love when they write your name wrong. "Your Honor, how many letters have to be wrong before it isn't me?"

I assume you're referring to the Police? I'm glad they caught you.

I'm sure she found you attractive too.

Well yes, those are the rules. If you don't like it you should have switched your mobile off before you left.

Ok, and?

Very strange, if that's true then quite possibly you don't need to pay.

I could go in to Tesco, fill up a trolley and tell them I'll square up with them 5 years on thursday - what, I'm still offering to pay aren't I??

There are certain rules we are bound by, like it or not.

Yes and it ensures that people who drive dangerously like you continue to get caught

Ethnicity isn't governed by your colour

I hope you get burgled one day and the chap on the emergency services line tells you to "work it out for yourself"
