Wink [ Merged ] Grand National

It's the Grand national this weekend and more people will have a bet on Saturday than any other day of the year. Will you be having a bet?

Post your hot tip (and why you think it's going to win!)
Link (hopefully its not a cookie thing!) to the runners:

Re: Grand National

Sorry, but I think the Grand National is an absolute mug's game.

It's called the Nation's Favorite Flutter, but the bookies always end up laughing their way to the bank.

What point is putting a bet on a race when the odds are against it even finishing the race?

It's just been hyped up as something special and people have been suckered into believing that.

Best way to win on the National? Don't bet at all!!

Re: Grand National

even though i have a horse of my own i know nothing about racing so i only ever have a punt once a year on the national.....
i have put a quid each way on "montys pass" and a quid each way on "bindaree".......
in our annual sweepstake at work i drew out "kingsmark"
all in all a fiver wasted probably hehehehe

Re: [ Merged ] Grand National

Not much point in speculating on the form for the national. To many other variables unlike in flat racing. To be honest with the national your just as likely to win by putting a pin in the race card while blind folded, and if you miss the racecard totally your more likely to have more money at the end than if you put a bet on.
