I maybe should have also mentioned that storing items on the list after the deadline carries a fine but I don't see how the authorities would ever find out about that, so there didn't seem a point in doing so.
I suppose how seriously the list is taken is up to individual choice. I treat it seriously because I feel it was probably compiled by people who know more than I do about the sort of damage these untested (to present standards) substances could cause to the environment.
It maybe the case that nobody has any of this stuff hanging around anyway. It hasn't been sold since July 2003. The list is just highlighted for those who might wish to check it. Perhaps, like me, some people haven't realised that the weed killers/pesticides are supposed to be disposed of before the end of the month.

The way I read it, the use of Jeyes Fluid is only prohibited for use on plants (I've never used it on them anyway). Presumably it's just no good for wildlife.
