Should we be worried?
What is everyones take on this ? Personally I think doing stunts like these are stupid in the extreme, espcially in this weather
I was just listening to Ian Collins on Talk Sport and he wants them shot a tad extreme I feel, how about we put ppl like these in stocks and throw stuff at them? :pp :pp
On a serious note should we be worried that they got to the heart of this country's power base with such ease? I thought we were on a high security alert if so would hate to see slack security

Re: Should we be worried?
One point of view is that they are exposing problems with the security, in which hopefully the powers will learn from and sort out.

My point though was that they exposed that the security there wasn't what it should be, if they could get through, what about actual terrorists? Hopefully it'll be a wake up call.

Re: Should we be worried?
you should not be worried about anything, if something was to occur it will happen regardless of any intervention.........

No, no doubt when they were spotted climbing up the tower they would of got a helicoptor out extra police down the bottom of the tower. Even some police marksmen i have no doubt. A lot of money wasted on some silly people

You are right. However, surely the scandal is not so much what they did (or who did it) but that they were able to do it?

Re: Should we be worried?
my take on it.
I think they should be congratulated for the success of their exploit. They made their point? :pp
I agree it should never have been allowed to happen in the first place.
- and then the subsequent furore wouldn't have followed?

Well if the police had taken the view that they were a threat and shot them when they were climbing up I have no doubt everyone would be sla*ging the police off now. They are in a no win situation which isn't helped by stunts like this

ah - but if the Police had been armed with scissors, they could have prevented the whole thing - lack of preparation is no excuse

They should have been shot down, the police didn't know who they were, or what they were doing. The police didn't know they were just protesting, they could have been suicide bombers or anything. The people that organized this little stunt should think themselves lucky they are still alive, it could quite easily have gone the other way.
